Culture as a meeting point

As Vice President of the Korean Cultural Club, I helped organize cultural events and initiatives that encouraged students to meet across interests and backgrounds. The role gave me experience in coordination, communication, and turning ideas into events that people could genuinely enjoy.

It also reminded me that student life is enriched by spaces that are both educational and joyful. Culture can create an accessible starting point for curiosity, friendship, and exchange.

Supporting a creative campus

At the AUB Art Gallery, I assisted with exhibitions and events, supported day-to-day operations, and helped create a welcoming experience for visitors. Working in an arts setting beside my physics degree expanded my perspective on how people make sense of the world.

The gallery taught me that attention to detail, hospitality, and thoughtful presentation are essential forms of communication.

REFLECTION

Leadership is an invitation to participate.

I have learned that leadership is less about being the loudest voice and more about creating conditions where other people can contribute. Whether organizing an event, tutoring a student, or working with a team, I try to bring reliability, openness, and a practical willingness to help move things forward.
